Will it rain during Valkyries’ Championship Parade?

(KRON) -- With rain pouring across the Bay Area on Tuesday, questions have come up about whether the Golden State Valkyries' Championship Parade the following day will follow suit.

"The only thing you won't need to have with you is the rain gear," KRON4 Meteorologist Brady Brewster says. "You can leave the umbrellas at home."

The parade, which is scheduled between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., is forecast to be 65 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

"No rain in the forecast," Brewster emphasized.

Regardless of rain or shine, thousands of Valkyries fans are expected to attend Wednesday's championship parade in San Francisco. Some even plan to call in sick to attend.

Can't make it to the parade? Don't worry, KRON4 has Valkyries' Wall-to-Wall coverage starting at 9 a.m.

You can watch it on KRON4, KRON4.com and the free KRON4+ Smart TV app.

WNBA Finals Delivers Record Ratings

In addition to the Valkyries' historic feat on the hardwood, its opponent, the Atlanta Dream, combined to generate record-breaking ratings for the WNBA Finals on USA Network.

Despite being on a cable television channel and not linear, Game 7 was the most-watched WNBA playoff game of all time, according to a USA Network press announcement on Tuesday.

The first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history garnered 3.3 million viewers. Last Saturday's Game 7 (on Halloween) was the second most-watched WNBA game since the league's inception in 1997.

“Game 7 put an exclamation point on USA Sports’ incredible first season as a WNBA media partner, as our coverage set new viewership records and connected more fans with the game,” USA Sports President Matt Hong said in a news release. “Our 2026 WNBA coverage is the latest example of USA Sports’ ability to draw large, diverse audiences on multiple TV and digital platforms and underscores our role as a home for top-tier sports properties.”

Game 6, despite the early matinee start time (9 a.m. PT), still averaged more than 1.5 million viewers on a Thursday.
